2020 is a critical election year for the Montana Public Service Commission. The five-member PSC is one of the smallest but most powerful state agencies, responsible for regulating energy, telecommunications, water/sewer, transportation and pipeline utilities in the state. Commissioners are elected to four-year terms, each representing a district of Montana.
City Club Missoula on Monday, October 19 (11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. via Zoom) will feature a debate between the two candidates for the District 4 seat on the PSC (representing Lincoln, Sanders, Mineral, Missoula, Powell, Granite and Ravalli counties). Come learn about the PSC’s functions and the candidates’ stands on the issues facing the commission.
